Due to ongoing success they are seeking to strengthen the team with the appointment of a Production Manager, reporting to the Operations Director, with a brief to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the company's manufacturing facility, manage and motivate the skilled workforce and to ensure there is sufficient manufacturing resource for current and future orders.
The Role & Candidate
You will responsible for the Management of all manufacturing operation related activities to ensure products are manufactured to schedule, to the required quality standard and meeting to cost objectives.
Key requirements are:-
Managing daily activities of the Production department with responsibility for up to 50 people.
Effect continuous improvement and production cost reductions utilising Kaizen techniques as well as effective management of the workforce, plant and equipment.
Monitor quality standards, health & safety, and personnel standards so as to implement 'best practice'.
Effective utilization of labour, materials, plant and equipment in order to maintain production targets and manufacturing costs.
Budgetary responsibility for manufacturing consumables and plant maintenance schedules.
Liaison with key departments including Project, Manufacturing, Logistics, Maintenance and Quality Engineering to implement and standardize performance as well as working practices.
The monitoring, motivation, discipline and training of personnel.
Working as part of the Management team, ideally you will possess a Management qualification, although this is not essential.

In line with the importance of the role an attractive package will be offered to include a basic salary between £25,000 - £45,000 (dependant on experience), plus generous executive benefits
